Muscadet is much more than the well-known, young, and fresh white wine from the Loire. In this masterclass, we explore the stylistic and qualitative range of the Melon Blanc grape variety – from accessible freshness to classic sur lie wines to terroir-driven interpretations with aging potential.
Using six selected Muscadets from different appellations, sites, and vintages, we analyse their origin, vinification, and aging potential, and show why Muscadet is one of the most exciting white wines in France today.
